DMC Skin Clinic introduced Aqua Glo to Canada in 2012. The treatment combines a full syringe of Restylane® Skinboosters™ Vital Light and Dysport® neuromodulators delivered directly to the skin through an advanced skin hydration technology from Korea, The skin hydrating mixture is intradermally injected into the skin using the automated Vital Injector 2 to deliver the ingredients to the intended depth of the skin with precision. As the first clinic to offer the Skinbooster with the Vital Injector 2, DMC has wealth of experience and expertise in the use of Aqua Glo for the restoration of skin hydration and the maintenance of skin elasticity and radiance all year round.

Aqua Glo is an intradermal deposition of a sterile injectable mixture consisting of Restylane® Skinboosters™ Vital Light and Dysport® neuromodulator. Hyaluronic acid in Restylane® Skinboosters™ is a substance that is naturally produced by the human body and can lock in moisture, giving the skin a radiant, youthful appearance when deposited into the skin in high concentrations. The internal permeation of the hyaluronic acid into the dermis layer of the skin ensures that the skin is hydrated and replenished from deep within. Other components of Aqua Glo stimulate collagen production and calm the skin by reducing inflammation. The hydrating and calming properties make this treatment particularly suitable for pampering the skin after sun exposure in the summer.

• How soon can I see the result? How long does it last?
  While the onset of the treatment outcome varies from patient to patient, results can generally be seen as early as 14 days after the treatment or upon recovery from the treatment. The results of the treatment may last up to 12 months.
• What is the treatment interval?
  Although the recommended interval varies depending on the condition(s) that the treatment is intended to treat as well as each patient’s skin condition, on average, the ideal treatment interval between each treatment is 3 months.
• Is Aqua Glo painful?
  Topical anesthetic cream application is offered to minimize discomfort during treatment. Aqua Glo is very well tolerated by most patients. DMC Skin Clinic also offers the use of analgesic gases for patients who require additional relief of procedure discomfort.
• Is there any downtime following Aqua Glo?
  Redness and mild swelling typically disappear within the day. Small pinpoint bruising generally resolves within 5-7 days. Most patients do not require taking time off after Aqua Glo by using cosmetic concealer starting on the next day.
