PIONEER OF PRP HAIR LOSS THERAPY SINCE 2008

DMC Skin Clinic has been providing PRP Hair Loss Therapy since 2008. As one of the first providers of PRP Hair Loss Therapy, we believe that our experience is an indicator of the level of skills, knowledge, and science behind our scalp treatment. We carefully select appropriate injection depths, locations, delivery methods, and dose using our anatomical knowledge and extensive clinical experience. The quality of the procedure varies significantly depending on the platelet enrichment technique and delivery method – factors that are swept aside due to DMC Skin Clinic’s specific platelet enrichment protocols. Furthermore, doctors visit to learn how to perform Cosmetic PRP as we offer a teaching course that is recognized as an official training program. At DMC Skin Clinic, PRP Hair Loss Therapy is provided by an experienced injector who certifies other doctors.

WHAT IS PRP HAIR LOSS THERAPY?

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Hair Loss Therapy is a safe and natural approach to retrieving and strengthening the hair using one’s own growth factors found within the platelets that is extracted and intensified from the plasma. This safe, non-surgical, and minimally invasive treatment is used to improve symptoms of diffused hair loss, such as male and female pattern hair loss, which often result in visibly thinning hair and/or receding hairlines.

Blood is collected and processed in a centrifuge using an advanced extraction technology to harvest PRP with a plasma concentration higher than that found naturally in one’s blood. The PRP is then injected into the scalp with a focus on each patient’s specific area(s) of concern using the Vital Injector 2, a fully computerized automated injection system for controlled and even delivery to the scalp with minimal loss of PRP. The direct injections of the PRP into the scalp boosts the body’s natural ability to grow thicker and denser hair.

RESULTS & BENEFITS

Most patients notice improvement 1-3 months following the treatment session, if any improvement occurs. If effective results are observed, additional treatment sessions may be done – and are generally recommended – at 4-6 week intervals. Repeated sessions are generally required to sustain the result.

For patients with male/female pattern hair loss, the improvement from the PRP Hair Loss Therapy is temporary and requires long-term maintenance through other methods.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Are there any supplementary measures I can take to boost treatment benefits?
The use of topical/oral medications and/or the Low Level Laser Therapy helmet helps fortify the level of improvement. These measures are often used  with sessions of PRP Hair Loss Therapy. As the cause of male/femaile pattern hair loss is genetic and chronic nature, it is essential to take appropriate supplementary measures for effective and efficient management in the long run.
  • Is PRP Hair Loss Therapy painful?
The scalp is numbed with anesthetic injections, making the discomfort level of the actual procedure very minimal.
  • Is there any downtime following PRP Hair Loss Therapy?
Typically, there is little to no downtime following PRP Hair Loss Therapy. Some tenderness and/or swelling may be experienced in and around the treatment areas.
