THE “NEW” FACELIFT

The gradual loss of elasticity is the sign of accumulated skin damage and is, also, a consequence of aging. To combat the common concern of sagging skin and wanting a more lifted appearance, DMC Skin Clinic offers various treatment methods, including thread lifting. With many years of clinical experience and successful cases for more than a decade, we provide advanced facial thread lifting procedures done entirely by our physician.

WHAT IS THREAD LIFTING?

Thread lifting is a relatively simple and minimally invasive procedure. It does not require any cutting or suturing as the thread is slid into the desired positions using a specially designed metal tube.

At DMC Skin Clinic, we use the Health Canada approved self-anchoring polydioxanone (PDO) thread, such as Quill™ Knotless suture. PDO thread is a dissolvable suture material that has been used for many years in soft tissue surgery. Once in the body, it gradually replaced the body’s natural collagen fibres and slowly dissolves in 6-10 months. The unique fact to note about DMC Skin Clinic’s thread lifting, is that the threads are self-anchoring on the entire length of the thread to evenly and naturally distribute anti-gravity force.
